International Revolutionary Youth Camp

The world is spinning out of control. Putin and Trump are invading countries one after the other, fascist parties are coming to power on every continent, our social gains are being trampled on everywhere, and no one is talking about the climate crisis anymore, even though it has already begun. What if, instead of rushing headlong into disaster, we decided to get organised ?

As they do every year, the young European activists of the Fourth International are organising an international summer camp to meet, share their experiences of struggle and forge bonds of internationalist solidarity. It’s an opportunity to see the other side of the coin: everywhere, people are resisting. And we can do it together.

What do we do there?

It is a political camp, with workshops and conferences to discuss all our struggles: feminism, anti-racism, LGBTI struggles, ecology, trade unionism, anti-imperialism, etc. It is also, of course, a week to meet, have fun and party!

A self-managed camp

For one week, we try to experiment with a way of functioning that is as close as possible to the society we aspire to: self-management! The youth sections of the ‘IV’ develop the camp’s political programme in advance, and at the camp, all the young people participate in the tasks: cleaning, security, translation, organising evening events, etc. Self-management is also another way of thinking about relationships between people: no oppressive behaviour is accepted, and if conflicts do arise, they are dealt with collectively.

Who can participate?

You don’t have to be an activist to participate in the camp! It is open to all young people who share the desire to live in a world free from capitalism, oppression and exploitation. To register, click on this link, and reach out to the delegation from your country. Feel free to share this information with your friends or comrades who might be interested!
